What up to whoever in the world is still reading this!  135 days since my last entry....OUTSTANDING!  I mean, most people would have given up on this little site by now...

Anyway, we is Californians now.  We are in our house, 95% out of boxes and contemplating putting up the old Christmas decorations.  I must say, I am going back and forth on the idea.  Just watched Christmas with the Kranks - the thought of skipping Christmas isn't as strange as it once was.

Work is going well.  I'm tutoring 3 Scots for a couple of weeks.  Learning all kinds of Scottish slang amd topics of conversation, which pretty much boils down to this - FOOK the ENGLISH!  Pardon my Scotch.

Well, I'll end with that.  To whoever may read this - have an absolutely blessed Christmas season!  Don't get depressed, because that really sucks!  When I get like that, I try to think of what I can do to help someone else, then do it!  Get the focus on giving of yourself and you'll be GRAND!

Take CARE!!!

So I'm not an active blogger.  Periodic updates are more exciting, aren't they?

We've moved!  We now reside in Camarillo, CA.  I was promoted to manufacturing and development manager for my company.  HQ is in Oxnard, just east of Ventura, CA.

So it looks like I'll have to change the look and feel of this thing....it's much drier and there is a monster fire burning to the east of us right now.

The ocean is cool. We took the kids to go fly kites and play in the sand last Sunday.  My wetsuits are still in storage so I won't be in the water anytime soon - much colder than Boynton Beach, FL!

Ok...to whoever might see this...that's the way, uh huh uh huh, the cookie crumbles.

So...yeah...looks like I'm getting a lot of traffic to my blog...I might have to consider starting a new one....

Today was...what's the word?....ah, yes..."busy".  But I won't bore my vast audience with the mundane details of my work day.

Thought of the moment:

Personality conflicts can be like sea lice...you know, the larval swarm of the thimble jellyfish that is sometimes present along the southern Atlantic coast of Florida....you can get into them before you ever feel it.   The good news is that the pain/itchiness eventually goes away, but you remember the experience forever.

Whoa....deep!

So...I just started the Kayak Fishing blogring.  It's really exciting.  I think we've accomplished a lot in the 3 minutes since it's been established.

I'm just getting into kayak fishing.  I've been cruising the swamps here in central Louisiana lately.  No bites, but 2 alligator encounters to date.

I saw a 6 or 7 footer swimming in the distance and gave chase.  He (or she - it's really hard to tell from the surface) saw me coming from a long way off.  All I saw were two eyes above the water.  As I glided closer, the eyes submerged and I started paddling in high gear.

The second encounter was more accidental.  I was minding my own business, cruising along silently, when the water to my left exploded in the shape of an alligator head.  My take is that the gator surfaced, I surprised it and it submerged again quickly.  Again, my paddle worked extra fast until my nerves calmed a little.  Yeah baby!  This is living!  Who's with me?

Uh...huhhh..huh..huhhhhhhh

Um...is this on?...huh...huhuhuhuuhhh

Hmm....

Here's something.

ok...time to check this out.
